Abdominal Liposuction or Abdominoplasty: What Is the Difference?
18.09.2026
Liposuction reduces local subcutaneous fat; abdominoplasty addresses loose skin and, when indicated, the abdominal wall.
What matters
With elastic skin and local fat, liposuction may be enough. Overhang, marked laxity or diastasis requires a different plan. Procedures may sometimes be combined.
How planning works
Tissues, proportions, previous procedures, expectations and long-term stability are assessed.
When to seek consultation
An individual plan is discussed during consultation. Related service: abdominoplasty.
